I am an interactive, directive therapist. By that I mean that I will not only listen but I will also provide direction, feedback and suggestions.
After a thorough assessment during the first session, we will set goals for treatment together. This is called a "treatment plan." All treatment is then planned with the goals in mind. My role is to be a resource to you and to help you accomplish your goals.
You are responsible for taking an active role in setting and achieving your treatment goals. Your commitment to this process is necessary for you to experience a successful outcome. You will only get out of therapy what you put into it. I often give assignments to do in between sessions. These assignments are designed to support the therapy session and reinforce the work we do during the session.
I use several different therapy modalities and interventions. My approach is designed to fit the individual and the problem. I use my intuition to determine the direction and approach I take in a session.Let's Talk
